2012 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport

The Maserati GranTurismo Convertible, which is known as the GranCabrio outside of North America, is going to receive a new sporty sub-model for the 2012 model year. The GranTurismo Convertible Sport will offer more horsepower, a more responsive and efficient engine, a faster transmission, and a revised suspension. The GranTurismo Convertible Sport will sit alongside the GranTurismo S (not counting the track-ready MC Stradale) and the Quattroporte Sport GT S as the brand’s sportiest sub-models.
The Convertible Sport shares its engine with the MC Stradale; it's a more powerful and fuel-efficient version of the all-alloy 4.7-liter V-8. The jump in power comes thanks to Maserati's Friction Reduction Program. By reducing internal friction amongst the engine’s moving parts, the GranTurismo Convertible gains a slight bump in power and better responsiveness while reducing fuel consumption by six percent. This naturally aspirated engine produces 444 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

2012 Porsche Boxster

Porsche redesigned the new model named, Porsche Boxster look in very different. 2012 Porsche Boxster is a mid-engine convertible will lighten up and shift down to 4-cylinder power for better fuel economy with no loss in performance. 2012 Porsche Boxster is a good open-air sports car.

2012 Porsche Boxster has 2.9-liter flat-six with 255 horsepower, and the 3.4-liter direct-injected flat-six to be carried over, albeit most likely after minor performance tweaks for a few more ponies. Along with the engines that are expected to be carried over from the previous model, expect the short-throw six-speed manual and Porsche’s seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission to also carry over.

2012 Bentley Continental GT

After essentially reinventing Bentley after its 2003 model year introduction, the automaker’s Continental GT has become something of an icon among high-end super luxury coupes. As such, Bentley chose the ever-popular “evolution over revolution” mantra for the redesigned 2011 Bentley Continental GT – with one twist: A nod to ever-stricter emissions standards.

The Bentley Continental GT returns in 2012 with slightly refreshed bodywork, more dynamic handling, improved comfort, more rear-seat legroom and up-to-date electronics. Power has been increased slightly and an updated transmission debuts. A more economical and affordable V8 model will arrive later in the year.

2012 Lotus Elise

Lotus first offered the little mid-engine Elise in the US market for the 2005 model year, after becoming the best-selling Lotus ever in Europe, where it was sold since 1996. Now the Elise has seen multiple upgrades and updates, including for the latest model year. Although not a comprehensive revision, the Elise does feature an updated look for the latest model year. Up front the two-seater receives a revised front fascia, complete with new-look headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED turn indicators. The Elise also features a new rear bumper and engine cover, as well as new wheel designs.

2012 Pagani Huayra

In his hands, Horacio Pagani holds a 50th-scale aluminum representation of his work over the last seven years. It's a model of the 2012 Pagani Huayra, the fruition of the project long known as the C9 at his workshop. The name comes from a god of wind in the Andes, an appropriate talisman for a car propelled by a twin-turbo V12 and meant to fly along the ground at more than 200 mph.
It turns out that this aluminum model of the Huayrais in fact the ignition key for Horacio's new car. It is the least inconspicuous key you'll find to any car.But then it is just such an outrageous design sense that has helped lift Pagani over the last decade from relative obscurity to become a brand that every enthusiast recognizes. And yet Horacio Pagani says that his new car is utterly unlike his now-famous pagani zonda

2012 MINI Cooper Coupe

Always known for its unabashed cheekiness, BMW’s MINI division has never been shy about expanding its range. Like its parent company, MINI seems intent to find new segments.

Enter the fifth model in its lineup, the MINI Cooper Coupe is certainly the cheekiest and possibly the strangest of the bunch, and definitely the smallest. Don’t let the apparent size fool you, though. We are talking about a vehicle with the dimensions of the convertible with a roof that resembles a slacker wearing a backwards baseball cap.

2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

Replacing the long-running CLK-Class coupe beginning first with the 2010 model year, the Mercedes E-Class Coupe marked a return to tradition for the German automaker. Based primarily on the E-Class platform, the E-Class coupe actually borrows some of its suspension from the smaller C-Class, though unlike the CLK, the majority of its structure is from the larger E.Available in E350 and E550 versions, the E-Class coupe brings back a pillar-less coupe version of Mercedes-Benz's bread-and-butter sedans, unlike the CLK, which looked vaguely like the E-Class but was built on a C-Class platform.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle

A quick look at the new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle reveals a car with more creases and edges to give it a more aggressive stance. The 2012 Beetle is 3.3 inches wider, 0.5 in. shorter in height and 6.0 in. longer than its predecessor. The roofline no longer carries a semi-circular shape; it’s more of a flat-top design reminiscent of the original one first introduced in 1938.

2012 Audi A8L W12

The A8 carries the technology flag for Audi, and along with its understated styling and all aluminum frame, it's a unique choice in the full-size luxury sedan market. Most cars are made to be driven, of course, and there is a select group of vehicles that are made to be driven inthe Rolls-Royce Phantom, the Maybach 62, the Ford Crown Victoria. But beyond that, there exists the infinitesimally small number of cars that have been engineered with both missions in mind, offering dynamic excellence for those twirling the steering wheel and five-star appointments for those occupying the rear seats. The 2011 Audi A8L W-12 is one such vehicle, and it satisfies in almost all aspects.

2012 BMW X6 M

The 2011 BMW X6 M represents an impressive feat of automotive engineering. Like the X6, this is a coupe-style crossover, meant to carry passengers rather than cargo. It weighs nearly 5,300 pounds, yet the X6 M motivates the mass with a 555-horsepower twin-turbo V8, so 60 mph arrives in a mind-blowing 4.3 seconds. That's quicker than every SUV we've ever tested (the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will likely be very close) and quicker than quite a few dedicated high-performance cars -- including those from BMW.

2011 BMW 760li

The BMW 760Li, the largest and most decadent Bavarian machine offered today, just arrived at Road & Track’s doorsteps for a year-long stay. Not that we consider ourselves gluttons, but this car resides at the top end of a very wide vehicle spectrum—even surpassing the sticker of our previous exotic long-term Audi R8 with the BMW’s as-delivered MSRP of $149,025. What’s unique about the 760Li is that despite the caliber of pricey competition it associates with, it’s one vehicle that can easily fly below most people’s “wow” radar. At a quick glance you wouldn’t be able to tell the 760Li apart from its slightly less lavish siblings, the 740Li and 750Li, except for the quad exhaust tips (or the obvious decklid badge) that hint at a need for more breathing capacity.

Audi A6

It's the seventh-generation of the Audi A6 executive saloon (née Audi 100) and it's full of lovely techy stuff. Under the skin it's very similar to the recently-launched A7 hatchback, while at launch the UK gets a 2.0 TDI, two power levels of 3.0 TDI (one with a Multitronic CVT transmission, the other with more oomph and quattro drive) and a 3.0 TFSI V6 with a supercharger – effectively the S4 engine. A 2.0 TFSI petrol arrives later, but for this type of car the UK has become almost entirely a diesel market.

The V12 Vantage

The V12 Vantage could be thought of as Aston Martin’s take on the classic Detroit muscle car formula. The car was created when Aston Martin stuffed its largest, most powerful V12 motor into the engine compartment of its smallest sports car, the V8 Vantage. The result is a straight-line monster but also, unlike many muscle cars of yore, a lithe and nimble machine in the corners..

Aston asks $181,345 for this V-12, $59,245 more than the V-8. But the bigger car’s performance elevates it into the supercar realm and makes Aston’s own $270,350 DBS seem redundant
